Maritime Industry Security Forum 2024
22.02.2024
Plac Władysława Bartoszewskiego 1, Gdańsk
REGISTRATION ENDED
The main theme of the 6th edition of the Maritime Industry Safety Forum will be a conversation about artificial intelligence and modern energy solutions for the maritime economy. We will discuss digital twins - a technology based largely on simulations, mathematical models and the Internet of Things.
The industrial revolution reached the seas and oceans as quickly as it did on land. But is the maritime industry ready for digital technologies? What are the prospects for the use of artificial intelligence on ships and offshore units? Do Polish offshore companies take proper care of digital security? What are the costs associated with implementing artificial intelligence in the maritime economy?
During three thematic blocks, dual-use technologies for communication security in the maritime industry will be discussed, based on examples of projects qualified for the NATO DIANA accelerator. We will talk about the opportunities and threats related to the use of AI in maritime autonomous systems and in research on energy infrastructure in the Baltic Sea. Aspects of energy optimization and the use of digital simulations to increase the safety of offshore wind farms will also be discussed.
